Be beautiful without makeup!!!

If you were to ask any lady about that one thing in common which all women share, the answer would be easy to come by – Makeup! Isn’t it? And if your next question was to be ‘Do you have any skin problems?’ chances are most ladies would reply in the affirmative.
While makeup is surely a woman’s prerogative, having beautiful skin is something we all aim for. And the good news is that you don’t always need makeup to look beautiful. Find it hard to believe? Well, here I’m going to give you 8 simple tips on how to look beautiful without makeup.

How To Look Beautiful Without Makeup

1. Drink water:

Definitely the first and most important trick is to drink plenty of water each day, no matter what the season, since this glass of water will be way more beneficial to you than any makeup product you may choose to invest in.

2. Moisturize:

Love your moisturizer, ladies. The more you keep your skin moisturized and nourished, the more you can prevent the arrival of wrinkles and dry saggy skin. Make sure you moisturize your face and neck region, as well as your hands and feet, as these are the areas that show the first signs of ageing.

3. Use a face wash:

Use a face wash daily to remove all dirt and pollution from your face and any traces of leftover makeup products as well. Washing your face daily, preferably once in the morning and once before going to bed, will help open up your pores and give your skin that fresh feeling.

4. Use a toner:

Using a toner should be an essential part of your daily skin care regimen. While most of us go for the cleaning and moisturizing routine, we almost always end up being too lazy or forgetful about the toner and that’s where the problem lies. A toner will help tighten your skin and your pores and also remove any traces of oil or grease.

5. Shampooing your hair:

Using a shampoo every alternate day or once in about 3 days will make sure that your hair looks fresh and clean. Greasy hair will automatically give you an overall dirty and unkempt look; while freshly cleaned hair makes a huge difference.

6. Applying sunscreen:

While we all know the benefits of using a sunscreen daily, most of us do tend to give it a miss, especially if we’re in a hurry and there’s not too much sun out there. This definitely is a skin-care and beauty disaster, as the ever-present harmful rays of the sun will continue causing damage to your skin. If you want to keep your skin looking naturally beautiful and healthy, you have to use the sunscreen daily; there’s just no other option.

7. Hot water with lemon:

We all love that first cup in the morning, right? Now try switching that cup of tea or coffee with a hot/warm cup of water and a slice of lemon. Having this first thing in the morning will flush out toxins from your body and will reduce chances of any skin sensitivities. This will also help keep your body stay hydrated and add that bit of glow to your skin.

8. Exfoliate:

Regularly exfoliating your skin will ensure removal of dry and dead skin cells to reveal a clean and glowing skin.

And here are a few additional tips on how to look good without makeup that will make sure you look well-groomed and beautiful:
  • Regularly get yourself a hair trim to ensure your hair doesn’t have split or dry ends
  • Don’t pick at pimples, spots or any other skin eruptions that you may have on your skin as touching them will only leave back spots and scars
  • Do not rub your eyes excessively as the same can lead to infections and redness
  • Stop chewing on your nails. Keep them well-trimmed. If you want them long, make sure they are well-maintained. If you polish your nails, make sure there’s no chipped nail paint.
  • Avoid drinking excess coffee or tea
  • Sleep well – at least 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep will work wonders for your skin
  • Do not pluck your eyebrows excessively; instead, opt for tweezers and remove those unwanted hairs
  • Brush twice a day, not more. Brushing after each meal will rob your teeth of essential enamel. Instead, brush once in the morning and once at night before bed.
  • Maintain a good posture
  • Remove blackheads, either by scrubbing at home or visiting a beautician
  • Bunk the junk food and eat healthy
  • Include fresh fruits, vegetables and milk or milk products in your daily diet
  • Go easy on the alcohol – it will help reduce any puffiness or belly fat
  • Go for well-fitted clothes and avoid following fashion trends that does not suit you. Understand your own style and get comfortable in your own skin.
Follow these simple tips and beautiful skin will be yours to have!

Be beautifull!!!

  1. 1
Eat healthy. Eat healthier foods like fish, fresh fruits, and vegetables. You can still eat other foods but lower the intake of fat, sugar, and calories. Some foods have empty calories. Avoid them as much as possible. Try not to eat too much junk food such as potato chips, pizza, cookies, cakes, etc.
    • Don't starve yourself or try to force your body to be thinner than it naturally is; it won't work in the long run and you could end up with serious health problems. Eat a healthy diet that includes fruit, vegetables, protein, and enough water.

Consume healthy liquids. Make sure to take in plenty of cool water each day. Water flushes away the toxins and gives your skin that natural glow. Avoid drinking too many caffeinated drinks and minimize alcohol intake.
  3. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 12.jpg
    3
Get plenty of fresh air and do lots of regular exercise. Both will give you a healthy glow. Exercise ensures fitness, releases pent-up energy that can be exhausting to deal with otherwise and rejuvenates you. Exercise is an ideal way to reduce the frown lines!
    • Exercise regularly to maintain your own level of fitness. You should know when you feel your best (not too much and not too little exercise).

Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

Part 2 of 3: Developing your personal beauty regime

  1. 1
Work out what works best for you by understanding your body. What sort of skin do you have––combination, oily, dry? What texture is your hair? How does your body respond to specific beauty products? Knowing these things will help you to develop a beauty regime that keeps you looking beautiful naturally. The following steps will help you to find out these things and apply them successfully.
  2. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 3.jpg
    2
Exfoliate your skin to waken it up and give you a healthy glow. Only exfoliate your skin once or twice a week, though. Over exfoliating can make you more prone to breakouts.
    • Never wash your face with hot water. It makes it dry . Always use normal or cold water which energizes your skin and makes it more pink, giving it a blushing effect.
  3. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 5.jpg
    3
Moisturize your skin daily. This will keep your skin soft and will also keep your skin beautiful as you get older.
    • Use moisturizer at night to keep it from trapping sweat and dirt that gather on your face during the day.
  4. 4
Steam your face regularly. Boil 1.5 liters of water until it is very hot. Pour the boiling water into a bowl as soon as you can, whilst it is still very hot. Move your face above the bowl of hot water and face it downwards (put a towel over your head for maximum benefit). You'll be able to feel a lot of heat getting to your face as if it is getting steamed. This is a very good method to reduce acne and any scars you have as the heat fights it back into your skin and almost kills it.
  5. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 6.jpg
    5
Be sparing with makeup. Skip the foundation unless you really, really need it. Heavy makeup hides true beauty! Work on your skin instead, applying coconut oil to your face before you turn in for the night will smooth and clear your skin tone plus it treats acne. Add some pink blush to the apples of your cheeks (smile when you're putting it on). Swipe on chapstick to your lips to keep them lush looking.
    • Avoid overusing makeup. Too much makeup can destroy a healthy glow. It also trains people to expect a less-than-natural you.
    • Try going without makeup for a few days. Allowing your skin to breathe will be better in the long run. When you do put makeup back on, it will look even better than before!
    • Always wash your face and remove any makeup before going to bed.
  6. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 9.jpg
    6
Get your eyebrows waxed. Or, pluck them yourself, but make sure you know how to do it correctly. This will help to open up your eyes. But don't pluck them too much, over-plucked eyebrows can be just as bad as messy ones! Look up some guides on how to pick the right eyebrows for your face shape first, and if you're still not sure then go to a beautician and ask their advice.
    • Try curling your eyelashes, if they do not have a natural curl. It will open your eyes and give you a nicer appearance, even without mascara.
  7. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 8.jpg
    7
Take good care of your hair. Always wash your hair with warm to lukewarm water, never hot. Hot water strips off all the natural oils. Depending on the season, style it so that you are comfortable and your hair is protected from environmental hazards.
    • Always keep your hair brushed. To keep it in place during the day, spray on a little leave-in conditioner. Keep your hair neatly groomed.
    • Use a quality shampoo and conditioner (you might like to use only organic products, if you can afford these). To avoid over-drying the hair, avoid anything with sulfates in it.
    • To get rid of residue, occasionally add a little baking soda to your shampoo.
  8. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 15.jpg
    8
Brush your teeth and keep good dental hygiene to have a bright smile.Consider using mouth wash and dental floss for fresh breath and cleaner teeth.
    • Brush your teeth with a pinch of baking powder, salt and vinegar to make them brighter.
  9. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 14.jpg
    9
Use adequate sun protection. When outside, protect your skin with a sunscreen. make sure you apply the sun sunscreen at least 15 min before you step out into the sun. Choose a sunscreen that is oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it won't clog your pores.

  1. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 4.jpg
    1
Smile. You'll reveal a new you. Avoid drinking Pepsi,Coke etc. They stain your teeth giving your smile a yellow look. Brush brush brush!
    • Many people believe in the value of practicing daily or regular gratitude. Counting your blessings can help to keep you positive and smiling.
  2. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 10.jpg
    2
Stand tall with great posture. Roll your shoulders a few times to feel where they should be. Keep your chin up. Keep your head balanced atop your shoulders, avoiding "forward-head posture."
  3. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 16.jpg
    3
Be confident. If you aren't, then try to be. Try some assertiveness training and affirmations. Tell yourself regularly that you are beautiful and always will be.
    • Seek to be happy with who you are. This can take time to learn, and it can be buffeted now and then by events in life, but try to make this your grounded point and always return to being happy with who you are now, who you were in the past and who you will become.
    • Never say you're not pretty, that will make you upset. Always be confident and think positive and this will come through in your poise and voice.
  4. Look Naturally Beautiful Step 7.jpg
    4
Wear clothes you feel good in, and that define your features. Try to avoid wearing clothes that do not flatter your figure. You don't need to religiously stick to every single fashion tip you come across (most are quite boring anyway) but do take the time to learn how to bring out the beauty of your unique figure.
    • Wear some matching accessories with your dress to give you a pretty and modern look.

Give your hands beautifull look with manicure!!

Saloon type manicure!!!

The Perfect Manicure, Step-by-Step

Step 1: Gather the essentials. Be sure to have the following tools and products ready to go:
  • Nail-polish remover and cotton swabs or pads.
  • Nail clippers, if your nails need a trim before you polish.
  • Emery board and nail buffer.
  • Cuticle pusher and nippers.
  • Callous/cuticle remover.
  • Hand/nail moisturizer.
  • Base coat.
  • Nail polish.
  • Clear topcoat.
Step 2: Remove any previously applied nail polish. An acetone-based nail-polish remover is a bit more harsh than non-acetone removers, but the acetone removers get the job done faster, and no matter what kind of polish remover you use, it's going to have a drying effect on the nail area and cuticles. It is crucial that you minimize contact with any nail-polish remover for the well-being of your nails and cuticles (i.e., don't soak your nails in it unless you are removing a gel-based polish).
Step 3: Shape nails. Clip the nails, if necessary, after soaking for just a few seconds to prevent the nail from splintering when it is dry, then gently file them into shape. A slightly rounded nail shape or square-rounded edge is generally the best way to go.
Avoid metal or extremely coarse nail files to prevent splintering—opt for a gently abrasive emery board or crystal nail file instead. Smooth the tops and sides of the nails with a slightly abrasive buffer to ensure an even surface, but don't forget, if you buff the nails too smooth, the polish won't adhere as well and can literally slip right off. Consider nail buffers from Revlon, Tweezerman, and Ulta.
Step 4: Soak away. Ahh the relaxing part. Place your hands in a bowl of warm (not too hot) water and add a bit of your gentle face cleanser to the water. Avoid putting detergent or soapy cleansers in the water because they can be drying and make your cuticles look worse. Soaking the cuticle before trimming is crucial, but over-soaking actually damages skin and nails, so keep it to three minutes or less.
Step 5: Apply callous/cuticle remover. When cutting away the thickened skin around the nail, applying a bit of cuticle remover can make all the difference in the world. By far the best and the least expensive one out there is Be Natural Cuticle Eliminator. Despite the name, it's powerful stuff, so don't let it sit on the cuticle area for more than a few seconds.
Step 6: Remove excess cuticle and callouses around the nail. Very gently push the cuticle back away from the nail with a cuticle pushing tool, but don't push it too far because it can damage nail growth or fray the cuticles. Be careful NOT to pull, lift, tear, rip, force, or cut into the cuticle in any way. Do NOT clip into the cuticle; merely nip off the free edge with a pair of metal cuticle nippers. It's better to under-do this step than to overdo it because the cuticle helps protect the nail bed from bacteria and damage. This is also the time to remove hangnails around the sides of the nail as well, but again, be careful not to cut into the nail itself or to cut into the skin too deeply; otherwise, you will look like you were tuning up your car, not giving yourself a manicure.
Step 7: Moisturize. Massage a rich cream or silky oil into the cuticles and all over the hands to hydrate and replenish skin. Try Paula's Choice Cuticle & Nail Treatment for a spa-like finish—your nails, cuticles, and hands will love it!
Step 8: Prep for polish. Moisturizing ingredients of any kind left on the nail will prevent polish from adhering properly. Using a cotton swab or pad, apply nail-polish remover over the nail's surface to remove any residue. While it helps to avoid getting remover on the cuticle because you want to keep that area moisturized, don't worry if you do because you're going to apply moisturizer on your nails again once the polish is dry.
Step 9: Paint nails in layers. If you have weak or brittle nails, use a base coat of ridge-filling nail polish to shore up the nail. A base coat also protects nails from staining and prevents chipping. Next, apply your color polish in layers, allowing each layer to dry between coats. Two coats of color polish, followed by a top coat to add shine and luster should do the trick. Use a lighter shade of polish if you're a novice at painting nails; any mistakes will be less noticeable!
Touch up your manicure every couple days with a single layer of top coat. This can make all the difference in keeping up the appearance and durability.
Clean up any mistakes—and Voilá! You're almost done. It takes time for nails to fully dry, so you must be patient. A fan helps, but do not use heat or the polish will chip and peel. Also, do not put your nails too close to the fan or you can get bubbles in your polish.
Step 10: Reapply moisturizer and during the day reapply sunscreen! Keeping your hands and the nail area healthy requires moisturizer and sunscreen. You can't have great nails and hands without these two essential items.

Manicure and pedicure at home!!!

Manicure and Pedicure at Home

Hello ladies! I’m Swathi and I’ll be describing an effective pedicure and manicure procedures that can be easily performed at home.
All of us desire beautiful hands and feet, well if not beautiful at least clean, and it is in fact essential to take care of the most ‘hardworking’ parts of our body.
Before going to the procedure, I shall go through the basic requirements for both. These are listed as under:
1. Turkey towels: a hand towel or medium sized one is sufficient. This chosen for it’s soft texture and high absorbing characteristics.
2. A medium sized bowl for manicure and a large plastic tub for pedicure.
3. Olive oil/any aroma-therapy essential oils, common salt and a slice of lemon and raw milk (2-3 tablespoons).
4. Hand lotion, foot care cream and anti-fungal cream (for monsoons)
5. Tools: manicure and pedicure tools are more or less the same, except for the nail clippers ( it is bigger in size for pedicure ).
home manicure pedicure
The commonly used tools are-
• Cuticle cutter- (as shown in the 1st pic in the grid) Used for cutting overgrown cuticle layer at the base of the nails. Now the cutting edge of the tool in 4th pic can also be used to remove cuticle.
• Nail clippers- (2nd pic of the grid) in mainly two sizes , one for the finger nails the other for the toe nails.
Plucker/Tweezer- (3rd pic of the grid) it’s optional and basically used to pluck out little hair on the hand. This can be avoided by either shaving or waxing.
• I really don’t know what the tool in 6th pic is called as but it’s used to remove the excess skin around the corners of the nails to smoothen the skin. It has a ‘V’ shaped structure (shown in 5th pic), though it looks scary, it doesn’t hurt a bit when the skin is properly soaked.
• The tool in pic 7 can be called an Orange Stick used to remove debris from under the nails or gently scrape the cuticle layer off from the nail.
• Filer- (8th pic) it comes in different sizes and made up of various materials. They say a glass filer is the best as it is gentle and does the work. Used to shape the nails. It is coupled with a nail buffer to give extra shine.
• Lastly a Pumice stone to remove dead cells from the feet. A soft bristle brush may also be used along with it.
6. Liquid soap- my personal preference is baby shampoo.
7. Nail polish remover, nail paints and cotton balls or q-tips.

PROCEDURE:

• Foremost remove old nail polish using the nail polish remover.
• Make sure your hands/feet are not too dry, if they are then moisturize them using a good lotion or oil or cream.
• Then apply raw milk over your hands/feet and add drops of lemon juice over them. This removes the tanning and any discolorations. Keep till the pack gets dry. Later dab it clean.
• After few minutes prepare your hand/foot bath by pouring warm water into a bowl/tub. Add a pinch of salt and little bit of liquid soap and few drops of any essential oils (optional).
• Soak your hands/feet for 10-15 minutes.
• Remove one of your hands/feet first and then clip the nails (clipping is easier this way) then file them neatly. Using the tool in 6th pic, remove the excess skin around the corners by gently gliding the tool over the area. Make sure you remove the debris from under the nail.
• Rub some olive oil or cuticle remover over your nails and message gently for a minute.
• Use the orange stick next and push back the cuticle layer. If it sticks out then carefully nip it with a cuticle cutter.
• Using the pumice stone scrub the dry cells off from the sole of the foot especially the heels.
• Wash off the any greasiness and pat dry using a towel.
• Repeat the process for the other hand/foot.
Once hands/feet are dry, message some lotion or cream. Remove excess moisture from the surface of the nail using a q-tip. Apply the base coat, one or more coats of your nail paint and finally a top coat. Allow to dry.

ATTENTION:

One should never forget to moisturize their feet especially in winters. If suffering from cracks use a medicated cream and get regular pedicures.
During monsoons, take extra care of your feet by applying anti-fungal cream on the nails and between the toes to avoid any risk of infection. On sunny days make your feet happy by dabbing some sunscreen on them too.

Oiling the belly button
