Home made hair treatments!!!

Eggs, yogurt and honey are, at first glance, all components of a tasty breakfast—but they also happen to be hair treatment ingredients, and affordable, all-natural ones at that. And they're not the only ones. Did you know, for instance, that the oils in avocados more closely resemble our own skin's oils than any product in the beauty aisle does? Or that the mild acidity in lemon is an effective—and gentler—alternative to chemical-laden products? Next time your locks need a lift, save money by using one of these kitchen fixes.

For All Hair Types
"The [raw] egg is really the best of all worlds," says Janice Cox, author ofNatural Beauty at Home. The yolk, rich in fats and proteins, is naturally moisturizing, while the white, which contains bacteria-eating enzymes, removes unwanted oils, she explains.
To Use: For normal hair, use the entire egg to condition hair; use egg whites only to treat oily hair; use egg yolks only to moisturize dry, brittle hair, Cox says. Use 1/2 cup of whichever egg mixture is appropriate for you and apply to clean, damp hair. If there isn’t enough egg to coat scalp and hair, use more as needed. Leave on for 20 minutes, rinse with cool water (to prevent egg from “cooking”) and shampoo hair. Whole egg and yolks-only treatments can be applied once a month; whites-only treatment can be applied every two weeks.

For Dull Hair
Styling products (as well as air pollution) can leave a film that both saps moisture and dulls shine—but dairy products like sour cream and plain yogurt can help reverse this damage. "Lactic acid gently strips away dirt while the milk fat moisturizes," says Lisa Belkin, author of The Cosmetics Cookbook.
To Use: Massage 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt into damp hair and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by cool water, then shampoo hair as you normally would. Treatment can be applied every other week.

Tips to prevent hair loss!!!

t's better to use natural products to stop hairfall than to go in for expensive parlour treatments, that may not help the problem.

Try the following easy tips at home and see how effective they are in reducing hair loss!

1. Hot oil treatments: Take any natural oil - olive, coconut, canola - and heat it up so that it is warm, but not too hot. Massage it gently into your scalp. Put on a shower cap and leave it on for an hour, then shampoo your hair.

2. Natural juices: You can rub your scalp with either garlic juice, onion juice or ginger juice. Leave it on overnight and wash it thoroughly in the morning.

3. Get a head massage: Massaging your scalp for a few minutes daily will help stimulate circulation. Good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Circulation may be improved through massage by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base.

4. Antioxidants: Apply warm green tea (two bags brewed in one cup of water) on your scalp and leave this mixture on for an hour and then rinse. Green tea contains antioxidants which prevent hair loss and boost hair growth.

5. Practice meditation: Believe it or not, most of the times, the root cause for hair loss is stressand tension. Meditation can help in reducing that and restore hormonal balance.

Make your curly hair silky and soft!!!

Super sleek hair? So boring. Natural curls, whether loose and wavy or tight and bouncy, can be tamed and look fabulously frizz-free.
And the days of battling tangles with a brush or straightening every single strand? Done. Nowadays, celebrity stylists say it’s easier than ever to celebrate your coils and let them shine, day and night.
Sounds too good to be true, right? We get it, curly hair is prone to dandelion-like puffiness, and pulling out the scissors can lead the haircut of your nightmares. Fortunately, keeping your curls in tip-top shape is possible with a few simple tips and tricks. To make the most out of your tresses, here are some major do’s and don’ts for your best curls everAvoid scrunching
Contrary to popular belief, scrunching your hair won’t make those curls manageable. Instead, this only promotes unwanted frizz and dryness. Beverly Hills-based celebrity stylist Nelson Chan believes the secret to soft, touchable tresses starts with the products you use before styling. “Use a non-foaming shampoo,” says Chan. “This is the best for curls because it cleans without stripping out any moisture or open hair cuticles.” Don’t forget to use a wide-tooth comb over a frizz-inducing brush to smooth away knots. “The more you scrunch or touch your hair, the frizzier it will become,” he says.

Skip excess shampooing

Since curly hair is prone to dryness, excess shampooing will strip away your mane’s natural oils, causing it to appear dry and brittle, leading to breakage and damage. Stylists believe that 1–2 shampooing sessions a week — at most — are sufficient. “If you opt for a leave-in treatment, stay away from heavy oils they might temporarily remove frizz and add shine, but eventually after continued use, they will coat the hair, causing brittle-looking curls,” warns celebrity stylist David Babaii. “Instead, opt for a water soluble leave-in treatment, one that can be easily removed with a shampoo.”

Embrace steam

You’ve just washed and conditioned your hair. Now what? “After you get out of the shower, stay in the bathroom to let the steam soak into your hair,” says Whitney Green, stylist at Ted Gibson Salon in New York City. “This will rejuvenate your hair and help your strands curl up. Apply your desired product to you right after you get out of the shower. Make sure your hair is really wet when applying your product.”

Try a topknot

The gravity-defying topknot, or a bun worn right on top of the head, is versatile enough to wear at the gym or a glitzy gala. Fortunately, even curly haired ladies can get in on this hot Hollywood trend. Take a cue from actress AnnaLynne McCord, who opted to show off her curls with a topknot. Finish the look by adding pins that match the color of your hair (wherever needed) to tidy up any loose strands.

Don’t go too short

While a super short ‘do may sound like a stylish idea, be warned. Those with super curly hair should stay away from shorter cuts to avoid that dreaded triangular look. “Don’t cut it too short,” says Chan. “Curls work better when hair is longer, so it forms a nicer shape where there is more length.” Having your hair mimic a Christmas tree is never on-trend.

Get proper heating tools

While it’s advised to stay away from drying heating products, every girl wants to change up their look from time to time. And let’s be real, sometimes those tools are all we need to make magic happen. When asked which heating tool he prefers for his curly haired clients, Babaii recommended the GHD Eclipse Iron — and not just for a slick, straight style. “I turn to my iron to not only smooth curls into silky spirals, but to help variations in the diameter of the curls,” he says. “No curl should be identical. Instead, take various sized sections in a ‘v’ shape so you avoid any lines of demarcation. Next, ribbon-curl some sections. For others, wrap your finger into a curl and then clamp down with the iron. To finish, loosen curls with your fingers instead of a comb to give it that soft, natural look.” When it comes to how hot your iron should be, if it burns your fingers, chances are it’s too high for your hair. Avoid breakage and damage by taking it down a notch or two.

Befriend an expert

Looking for a hairdresser? Make sure he/she specializes in curly hair to meet your needs completely. “Make sure you have a good hairdresser who knows the proper techniques of slicing, angling the layers down to reduce bulk, and cutting at the end of each ‘s’ shape,” says Green. “Don’t let anyone cut your hair with a razor because this technique roughens up the hair shaft, causing frizziness.”

Condition, condition, condition

While you shouldn’t be shampooing your tresses on a daily basis, if you feel those strands are in dire need of a pick me up, consider “co-washing” or applying conditioner, followed by generous rinsing to ensure your mane is getting as much moisture as possible. “Do use conditioner,” says Chan. “Curly hair always needs moisture. Dry curly hair never looks good!” To further minimize frizz, Green suggests trimming your hair every three months, which will remove split ends and promote growth. If your hair is looking dull, a color gloss will make your hue appear richer and brighter with loads of shine, minus the damage that comes with a standard hair dye.

Use your diffuser

Forget those standard blowouts. Instead, make use of the diffuser attachment with your blower to define your natural curls or waves. “The diffuser spreads the heat so your curls dry evenly,” says Green. “Try not to touch your hair with your hands while diffusing. Instead, use a comb or towel to lift the hair into the diffuser — your hands cause more frizz when manipulating your hair. Then, air dry your hair [at least] 50 percent whenever you can after using your diffuser attachment.”

Sleep on it

A tight hair band can put your mane in place when getting your beauty rest, but this will also cause knots and breakage. Instead, set your hair the proper way for bedtime. “Sleep with your hair in a pineapple or in a silk bonnet,” says Green. “This will help to keep your hair saturated. You should also sleep with a satin pillow to stop your hair from tangling too much at night.”

Get a proper face clean!!

Here are some tips for proper facial cleansing:
1. Cleanse twice a day, no more. Unless you have exposed your skin to excessive dust, grime or pollution, twice-a-day cleansing is more than adequate for any skin type. Cleansing too often strips your skin of precious natural oils. Not cleansing regularly, particularly before you retire for the night, may lead to build-up and eruptions.
2. Choose a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type. Do not use soap on facial skin: it can be too harsh and drying and damage skin over time. A too-rich cleanser can clog pores, while a too-dry cleanser can irritate the skin. A cleanser for dry skin should contain nourishing herbs and oils. One for oily skin should include herbs that balance oil production and support clarity. Sensitive skin benefits from an ultra-gentle, fragrance-free, non-irritating cleanser.
Traditional ayurvedic cleansers are made fresh with natural ingredients such as ground oats, lentils or chickpeas, complexion enhancing or clarifying herbs such as turmeric, Amalaki, Neem and sandalwood, emollients such as milk, cream yogurt or honey, and floral or citrus waters for pure healing fragrance. You can make your own by mixing the dry ingredients to last a week or two and blending the mix with milk or cream right before use. Otherwise, look for a natural cleanser that’s gentle and fortified with skin-friendly herbs.
3. Always cleanse with tepid water. Hot water dries and damages skin over time, and cold water won’t dissolve and take away embedded dirt and grime as well as lukewarm water.
4. If you use sponges or washcloths, make sure they are clean and soft. They are not necessary for effective cleansing: your fingertips can do just as good a job.
5. Wash your hands thoroughly before you cleanse your face, or you will be working dirt into facial skin. Use a headband to secure hair away from the face.
6. Start by splashing tepid water on your face and neck.
7. Apply the cleanser with your fingertips or a soft sponge, using gentle circular massaging strokes and moving upward on the face and neck. Do not scrub too muchgentle massaging strokes are enough to help improve circulation as well as loosen grime and old surface skin cells. Too much scrubbing will stretch skin and irritate it, especially the delicate skin around the eyes.
8. Rinse with lots of tepid water. Don’t forget to rinse off cleanser from the neck and hairline. Cleanser residue can clog pores and attract dirt.
9. Gently blot off excess water with a soft towel. Do not scrub dry or drag towel along skin.
10. Follow immediately with a water-based toner and a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type to seal in surface moisture and offer nourishment when skin is receptive.

Say no to make-up!!!

1. Make SPF your new BFF.
I'll admit it, during my 20's I was reckless. I rarely used sunscreen, I baked out in the sun for hours, and never once considered the damage I was causing my skin.
I'm now paying for that behavior in my 30s, and let me tell you, I wish I could shake my twentysomething self.
These days I make it a morning priority to slather on the sunscreen whether it is sunny or not.
You see, nearly 80% of our overall sun exposure is incidental (according to the Sun Safety Alliance), meaning those walks to the car, that stroll through the dog park, or the errands you ran on your lunchtime are all adding up to premature wrinkles and skin damage if you don't slap on the SPF.
It's such a simple tweak to make. Just apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen each day during your morning routine to help keep your skin looking as young and healthy as possible.
It may seem like no big deal, but trust me: clear, healthy, glowing skin is one of the easiest ways to feel beautiful without makeup.
2. Drink your morning cup of hot... water?
I love me a nice cup of tea to start the morning, but lately I have been making the switch to plain old hot water with lemon.
Yes, it sounds boring, but incorporating a cup of hot water and lemon is one of the best things you could do for yourself in the morning. Not only does it help to wake up your senses but it flushes and purifies your body of toxins, while also reducing your chance of future skin sensitivities.
Besides, water hydrates your body, which keeps your skin supple so you can rock that dewy glow... without having to apply highlighter to get the same effect.
3. Get your scrub on.
Speaking of dewy glows, incorporating a simple exfoliation twice a week will ensure your dry, dead, and dull skin cells don't suffocate your skin and block up your pores.
You see, when we don't scrub the lifeless layers of skin off our face, those dead skin cells become opaque and don't reflect light properly, causing our skin to look, well, blah.
To combat this, mix equal parts of baking soda and water and give it a good stir. Once it is properly combined, apply it to your face and rub it into your skin gently for up to two minutes.
When your two minutes are up, wash it off, pat dry and moisturize with a few drops of coconut oil. Then just stand back and marvel at how healthy your skin looks.
4. Keep hands off.
We all catch ourselves doing it – resting your chin in your hand, popping pimples, rubbing your eyes or massaging your forehead. And you know what? It's hurting your skin.
Since the skin on our face is the most delicate on our body, it is easily damaged, stretched, and torn.
Each time you rub your eyes. Each time you tug at your skin. Each time you rest of face on your hand. Each time you scratch your face or pick at your skin or pop pimples, you are causing micro-tears in your skin.
These micro-tears eventually lead to future wrinkles, and what's more, they can also cause a gradual degradation of your skin.
Moral of the story?
Keep your hands off your face. Enough said.
5. Tea is for tanning.
If there is one quick and easy way to feel beautiful without makeup, it's with a healthy hue.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying head outside and bake in the sun or run to your nearest indoor tanning salon and embrace your inner Snooki.
I'm simply suggesting you get your DIY on and create your own tan.
All you need is tea.
To make your own self-tanner:
  • Boil two cups of water.
  • Add in 5 tea bags and allow them to steep for about 20 minutes.
  • Once your tea has cooled, remove the tea bags and pour your tea into a clean spray bottle.
  • Standing in either your shower or bathtub, spray yourself one body part at a time, allowing your skin to dry before applying another coat.
  • Allow your skin to completely dry before getting dressed.
Not only will you have a killer faux-glow, but your skin will feel moisturized and soft. It's a win-win!

Be pretty!!!

Steps To Take Toward A Pretty Face
1- Almost everyone needs a moisturizer, even people with oily skins. Develop a nightly ritual of using a quality moisturizer. Try to use a natural botanical face cream.
And yes, men should use moisturizers too. Otherwise our faces look like wrinkled-up old catchers mits.
2- Watch your diet and drink plenty of water. Remember, our skin gets its nourishment from the foods we eat and the fluids we drink, not just from our moisturizers.
3- Always use sunscreen when you're out in the sun. A friend of mine, a lovely, radiant, youthful lady, has a beautiful face with flawless skin. She just turned forty. She looks twenty-five.
One of her many secrets to her beautiful face and flawless skin was to always wear sunscreen when outside.
2 Beauty Secrets Of Professional Models
Baking soda. Sprinkle a small amount of common baking soda on your facecloth when washing your face. This tip is right from the Oprah Show when she interviewed top models about their beauty secrets. Yes, I admit it, I use baking soda daily even on my weathered face. But my mature old face is as soft as a baby's behind.
Another tip from professional models is regular daily facial exercises. Learn facial exercises for toning facial muscles. Exercising the facial muscles can work wonders in improving the appearance of your face.
These exercises can help reduce sagging cheeks, double chins, jowls, and the well-known 'turkey neck.' You'll notice a visible improvement in your cheeks when you regularly exercise your facial muscles.
Our Faces Reflect Our Feelings, So Smile And Be Happy
Smile. Your face will be ten times prettier by simply smiling. Remember, your face is your most obvious tool of expression. It's the first thing people see. People form first impressions about us based on our faces. So show the world you're feeling happy by smiling.
You'll not only be prettier, people will wonder what you're up to.
Don't be a grouch. Be friendly. Smile. Laugh often. Smiling happy people are more approachable and prettier. Research has shown, without question, that we prefer the company of people who smile and make us laugh.
A True Story: The Pretty Lady And Mr. Average Guy
I once asked a friend, an attractive businesswoman in her mid-thirties, why she married a rather ordinary average looking guy, instead of another very handsome well-heeled suitor who had also proposed to her.
Her answer surprised me. She said, "John (her new hubby) isn't the handsomest guy in the world. But he smiled a lot, he made me laugh, and he was always fun to be with. I'll take fun and happy over handsome any day."
Take note guys - words of wisdom from a gorgeous woman who had her pick of men.
Having a pretty face doesn't require a face-lift or Botox injections. It doesn't require expensive facial cosmetics or laser treatments. It simply requires a common-sense regimen of sensible daily facial care, a sensible facial beauty program, and a positive happy mental outlook on life. And it requires you to SMILE

Try these home remedies!!!

Steps for Naturally Fair and Beautiful Skin

Many of us dream of having fairer glowing skin. We try creams and beauty products but the trouble is that they have their affect on our skin only for a certain period of time. Let me share the best home remedies my grandmother taught me. They may not give instant results, but you will notice marvelous change after 45 days.
  • Mix besan (gram or garbanzo bean flour) with tomato, curd, honey, lemon juice, and rose water. Apply this mixture to your face at nighttime and wash off with water after 30 minutes. Avoid using soap. For best results, do not wash it off directly, but pat your face with wet hands and try to massage the mixture for two minutes before rinsing off completely. This will remove the dirt, black heads, and tan. Your skin will be silky soft. Use this recipe daily and you will have wonderful skin.
  • Mix olive oil with sugar and lemon juice. Use this as scrub once in a week for baby soft skin.
  • Add some salt and lemon juice to milk and use it for cleansing. This is the best way to exfoliate your skin.
  • Mix turmeric powder with lemon juice and apply to your face to enhance your complexion. (Please take care. Turmeric powder does not suit all skin types.)
  • Soak almonds in water and leave overnight. In the morning, make a paste of the soaked almonds and mix with raw milk. Apply to your face and wash off after 20 minutes. This will make your skin soft and supple.
  • Mix milk, lemon juice, and glycerine. Apply to your face and wash off after 30 minutes. This is the best recipe to improve your complexion and moisturize your face during the winter season.
  • Mix lemon juice, glycerine, and rose water in equal quantities. Apply this to your skin instead of a moisturizer and leave on overnight. Wash off in the morning when you wake up. Use this treatment in the winter to moisturize your skin. This is the best moisturizer and I bet you will never feel that your skin is dry.
 !

Follow these tips!!!

1. SLATHER ON THE SUNSCREEN:

We know, we know—you've heard it a million times, but wearing sunscreen is the single easiest way to look younger for life. "Ninety percent of wrinkles are from sun exposure," says Day. "It's so much easier to prevent the damage than it is to fix it afterwards." That means no slacking during winter months either, when rays are just as strong and can reflect off of buildings and sidewalks. Look for a formula that offers broad-spectrum protection to guard against UVA rays (the ones that cause premature aging) and UVB rays (one of the main causes of skin cancer). Try Philosophy Shelter Broad Spectrum Sunscreen in SPF30.

2. CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES:

A British study found that 72% of women never wash their brushes or sponges, even though they collect dirt and bacteria which can cause breakouts. "You should wash loose powder brushes every two to three weeks, and those used to apply foundation once a week," says Jessica Wu, an LA-based dermatologist and author of Feed Your Face. Mix a couple of drops of gentle facial cleanser or shampoo and lukewarm water in a cup, swish your brushes around, rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry, and lay flat to air dry.

3. MUNCH ON MIXED NUTS:

Brazil nuts are rich in selenium, which increases skin elasticity and may decrease skin cancer, according to recent studies. Throw in walnuts—which are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids—to lower inflammation and put the brakes on breakouts, says Molly Morgan, Board Certified Sports Specialist Dietitian and author of The Skinny Rules. Finally, add some macadamias. "They're full of high quality oils and fatty acids that aid in skin repair and rejuvenation" says integrative practitioner Isaac Eliaz. Aim for a handful of each daily to reap their pore-perfecting benefits.

4. START USING SERUM:

"It's much more concentrated than cream or lotion, so you tend to only need a small amount daily to see results," says Fran Cook-Bolden, Director of New York's Skin Specialty Dermatology. Look for one with antioxidants, the skin's major defense against free radicals and stress, and pentapeptides, which are a must-have when it comes to boosting collagen, the support structure that gives skin a firm, youthful appearance. Don't worry about spending a fortune on the ingredients; one of Cook-Bolden's favorites is Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Serum (£24.45, Cosmetics Now), a sheer formula whose small molecules can dive deep into pores. For best results, apply to freshly washed skin; follow with sunscreen or moisturiser to lock in hydration.

5. SANITIZE YOUR SMARTPHONE:

According to a Stanford University study, that iPhone you can't keep your hands off of can get more germ-infested than a toilet in a public toilet. In fact, the glass touchscreens on mobile devices are so good at spreading viruses that sharing them may be almost as bad as sneezing in someone's face. Here's a scary thought: All those germs land right on your cheek and jawline every time you chat away, causing spots and irritation. To keep your phone (and face) bacteria-free, wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe like Clorox Disinfecting Wipes a few times a day.

6. PUT YOUR SKIN STASH IN PROPER ORDER:

The sequence in which you apply your products could be even more important than the products themselves. Reach for those with the most active ingredients as soon as you wash and pat skin dry. "These are the most powerful, so you want them to come into direct contact with your skin," says Syed Amiry, a dermatologist practicing in Reston, Virginia. If you're using more than one active product (like an antioxidant serum and Retin-A), start with the thinner one. "Anything that's water soluble should go first, followed by the product that's thicker and creamier. If you do it in reverse, the heavier cream will block the ingredients of the lighter one from penetrating the skin, so they won't have any impact." If you need moisturiser, it's next up in line, followed up by—what else?—sunscreen each morning.

7. DROP DAIRY FROM YOUR DIET (EVEN THAT LITTLE BIT IN YOUR LATTE):

"Dairy products—even those that are organic—contain cow hormones that stimulate your oil glands and your pores, leading to acne," explains Wu. Beware of hidden dairy in foods like salad dressing, protein bars, and shakes. And if you have to go there, stick to skimmed milk. "The hormones are concentrated in the fat, so it's your best option."

8. START USING RETINOL:

"Everyone should use retinol," says New York dermatologist Doris Day. "It has decades of clinical data to support its efficacy, helps skin cell turnover, and boosts collagen production to keep skin firm and youthful." Most dermatologists agree that if you're only going to use one anti-aging product, prescription Retin-A (and even highstreet versions like No Wrinkles Extreme Moisturiser, £41.40, This Works) is the magic bullet, and can even reverse abnormal and cancerous growth, among other forms of sun damage. "It has great anti-inflammatory effects, which is why it's as effective at treating acne as it is at treating wrinkles and other signs of aging," adds Amiry.

9. HIT THE SACK EARLY:

We know, you've heard it all before, but it's called beauty sleep for a reason. "Sleep deprivation lowers circulation, which is why you look pale and washed out if you only get a few hours," says Amy Wechsler, one of only two U.S. physicians board-certified in both dermatology and psychiatry. It's also the best time to rejuvenate your skin. "Your body's cellular renewal team has the night shift, so this is when you want to equip your skin with as many nutrients and hydrating ingredients it needs to do a fine job," she says.
To make the most of your beauty sleep, check out these:

10. EXFOLIATE FOR SMALLER-LOOKING PORES

It's amazing how something so tiny can feel so huge, but enlarged pores are one of the most common beauty complaints. "Pores appear larger when they're filled with dirt, oil, dead skin cells, and keratin, a protein that lives on the surface of skin," explains Amiry. "Remove those plugs, and they seem to shrink." To clear out the gunk, start exfoliating regularly with daily applications of salicylic and glycolic acid, like those in Murad Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel (£51, Murad). Then add a cleansing system (like Clarisonic Mia 2, £125, Clarisonic) to soften and smooth skin, and clear the dead surface cells. To keep pores from getting even bigger as you age, practice safe sun. "Sun damage breaks down collagen, which can affect pore size as well."

Tips to follow!!

  • Work out at least three times a week, even if only for half an hour. It improves skin glow.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Make sure you have a cleanser and moisturizer made for your skin type.
  • Always remove your makeup with your makeup remover and moisture it.
  • Use rosewater as a mild toner, it is mild and will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.
  • Use fresh ripe papaya to get glowing skin instantly! Take a small piece of freshly cut ripe papaya and gently rub it on your face. Keep it on for about 15 minutes and then rinse. You'll see a difference right away!
  • Use a mild cleanser and then splash your face with rose water each night.
  • Using almond oil at night might assist you in getting glowing skin in the morning.
  • If you have sensitive skin, try mixing small amounts of castor and body oils into your troubled acne spots once a week after opening your pores with warm water and steam. This may sound counter productive, but it really helps.
  • Tea tree oil with 15% concentration works wonders for Acne-prone and blemished skin. Apply directly onto the acne areas and keep it overnight. This might cause some dryness but it's totally harmless. In the morning, after washing your face with a neutral-ph face wash, apply a mild moisturizer and ta-da your skin will glow!

Warnings

  • Never try to bleach the skin artificially; it causes dryness and rips off your skin of essential oils.
  • Don't use toothpaste or lemon juice to clear acne, it may dry out your skin and make it feel worse. If you do decide to use lemon juice as a chemical (acid) exfoliant, you can replace the lost oils afterwards with a moisturizer or olive oil.

Stay healthy!!!

  1. 1
Drink up. Aim to get 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. The water will clear your skin and make it glow because it makes it easier for your body to flush out toxins quickly.
    • Carry a water bottle with you all day to make sure you always have water on hand.
    • Drink herbal tea or other non-caffeinated beverages to hydrate when you're tired of water.
  2. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 12 Version 3.jpg
    2
Eat a healthy diet. Healthy proteins and nutritious fruits and vegetables go a long way toward making skin glow. Add these elements to your diet to see quick results:
    • Omega 3 fatty acids. These are found in fish and walnuts, and are especially beneficial to your skin.
    • Vitamin C. This will help existing pimples heal faster, so eating a few servings of citrus fruits and spinach will help.
    • Fiber-rich foods. Fresh vegetables, nuts, and unprocessed fruit helps keep a fine balance and to be regular, not sluggish, in the gastrointestinal area. You may look and feel tired and sickly (headache and abdominal complaints), if you do not have regularity of elimination/movements once or more every day.
  3. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 13 1.jpg
    3
Eat less sugar and salt. Try to consume less than 45g of sugar on a daily basis, and cut down on salty foods. Eating too much salt can make your face look bloated.
  4. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 14.jpg
    4
Take vitamins. If you're worried you aren't getting enough of necessary vitamins and minerals, try taking a multivitamin. Vitamins intended for pregnant women are especially beneficial to the skin.
  5. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 15.jpg
    5
Work out. Cardio makes your skin glow because it stimulates blood flow. It's also healthy for your body and will make you stronger. You'll see results immediately and long term, too.

Tips to deal with acne!!!

  1. 1
Prevent acne before it starts. Here are some small daily-life hacks you can use to prevent pimples before they happen:
    • Change out your pillowcase every four or five days. A fresh, bacteria-free pillowcase can stop your skin from erupting overnight.
    • Keep your hands off your face. If you tend to rest your chin in your palm, or you're constantly fussing with your face, stop. The oils on your hands can cause breakouts, even in small amounts.
    • Tie your hair back while you sleep. If you have long hair, keep it off your face while you rest. Braid it back, and use pins or a headband to keep bangs off your forehead.
    • Get your beauty rest. Stress can lead to breakouts, so make sure you're well-rested and calm.
    • Change your birth control (females). Some oral contraceptives containing estrogen can calm down regular breakouts. Ask your doctor if this is the right choice for you.
  2. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 7 Version 2 1.jpg
    2
Do not pick or pop pimples. Doing so can make the infection worse and lead to permanent scarring.
  3. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 8 Version 2.jpg
    3
See a dermatologist. If you can't get the problem under control by yourself, visit a doctor. He or she can prescribe serious treatments such as Accutane, Retin-A or red-blue light treatments.
  4. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 9 Version 3.jpg
    4
Consider a salicylic acid face wash. Some anti-acne face cleansers contain salicylic acid, which kills the bacteria that can cause acne.
    • To prevent drying out your face, start using a salicylic acid wash only in the mornings and see if that's sufficient. If you still need more help, use it at night as well.
  5. Get Beautiful, Glowing Skin Step 10 Version 2.jpg
    5
